Seeds are ideally sown in spring, but can also be sown throughout the year. Before sowing, soak them in a water for 24 hours and then stratify them in the refrigerator for 60 hours. Sow in organic soil in a sunny outdoor bed to a depth of 2-3 cm. The recommended distance between plants is 100 cm. For successful cultivation, it is necessary to plant several plants, always with a female plant between them.
Harvest
The plants begin to bear fruit only in the 4th–5th year after sowing. The flowers appear in March to April, the fruits ripen from August to October.
Uses and benefits
The fruits contain a large amount of vitamins B, A, C, K and E. They are valued for their biostimulating effects on the body. They are recommended for convalescence after infectious diseases, for skin problems and for supporting digestion.
